On the surface everything seems ok. The book seems to cover 70-210 objectives and I actually learnt some new things here and there. But under the surface it is a different story. Mike Myers fails to realise that Microsoft are constantly reviewing and changing their exam questions and structure. He makes presumptions like "a good 20% of the questions from the professional...tests covered" permissions and "When you are passing the practise questions, you're ready to take the exam". Let me just say that I did the exam the other day and the questions on it were far more complex than this book leads them on to be. This book is a foundation but it fails to grapple with the deeper issues like .msi and .mst files with windows installer and OU and GPO within group policy. Another issue I noticed was that there were errors within the questions and answers. For instance chp 2 question 5. This book is good for a foundation but don't expect to pass the exam with this book as a primary source. I myself studied for 3 weeks using this book and Microsoft's readiness review plus sample practise tests you find on the Internet. I thought I was well prepared. But during the actual exam you start to realise that what you thought you knew from this book means nothing when wading through long paragraph questions, which zap your mental energy and bit by bit eat up the available time. I expected and Mike Myers expects easy one-two line questions and single paragraph questions. But expect long questions, which eat up the clock. In the end I passed. what saved me was remembering certain practise questions from various sites, NOT THIS BOOK. If you really want to do well in this exam study w2k server as well, and do as many prac tests as you can. Otherwise you will scrape through like I did.
