It was required that I buy this book for my college History class. I was surprised when it came because it looks like a magazine, not a textbook for a college class. I got it for quite a bit less than they were asking at the bookstore at school so that made me happy. I also ordered another book for this class through an independent seller on Amazon, and I still haven't received it yet. This book I ordered at the last minute and received it in like a day. Anyway, this book is amazing. I love history, and have read a lot of "school text" type books. This one is written in narrative form, much like a magazine article. It makes the information very easy to process and retain. I love it, and honestly, if you are looking the textbook for class, or just a history book for enjoyment, this is the book to get. It's well written, and I love it so far.
