(More customer reviews)This book is a perfect compliment to my calculus textbook. I'm able to review the concepts in the textbook, but the text book lacks sufficient problems to become truly proficient in solving all of the myriad problem types you are expected to solve in Calculus. Once I'm familiar with a concept, I can open the relevant portion of this book, and just go down the page solving problems. The solution is immediately below the problem, so I use a folded piece of paper as I work though to keep the solution hidden. All of the solutions have made sense so far, and the book is *very* thorough in its coverage of problem types. I have even seen certain problem types not covered by the textbook that I now know how to solve. This book will not teach you the concepts of calculus, but accompanying a textbook it will help you master them. A must have for the serious student.
As an aside, I use a little 8x11 inch whiteboard for solving problems on as opposed to pencil and paper. Makes the problem solving quicker, imho.
