(More customer reviews)I loved this book!!!! It was fun to read and i couldn't put it down. After i read this book I read it again and again! It made me anxious to read Margaret Benoit's other mysteries. Its a modern mystery with a mix of comedy, murder, and classic detective work. I recomend this book and Who Killed Olive Soffle? ( another mystery staring Detective Angel Cardoni)

What else is there for a hard-boiled, off-duty detective to do on a rainy Saturday but visit the local art gallery to see the works of renowned sculptor Bern T. Sienna and the painter Forrest Greene? Alas, Detective Angel Cordoni's day off becomes an opportunity for creative forensics. It seems that someone is stealing works of art from the gallery-and trying to make it look like insurance fraud on the part of the gallery owner Arthur Decco. Next, art critic Rave N. Phoole is killed while the detective and displaying artists are all in the gallery. A piece of one of the sculptures is the murder weapon. Who is the artful thief and murderer? Sienna? Greene? Harry Brushed? Magenta Hue? Bess K. Case? Tess La Coile? Mini M. Alist? Or the security guard, Eve S. Draupen? Our heroine has her own ways of finding out, through brilliant deduction and careful experimentation. A page-turning mystery that also teaches applied science, Who Framed Art Decco? seamlessly combines entertainment and learning. Readers will be on the the edge of their seats as Detective Cardoni tries to solve the mystery before she, too, falls prey to murder.
