I took an Entrepreneurship class in college but refused to purchase the textbook for it (this is the book used for the class). The professor used slides that had the information in this book and I started to realize how valuable this book could be for those who are interested in starting their own business. I finished the class and ended up purchasing the book to have in my own library.

Marieb's book is better. I needed Mader's for class; but, I often used Marieb because it was easier to understand and helped to create a better picture (conceptual & spatial) understanding. Also, I really like the way Marieb develops the vocabulary; I felt that I really grasped the language.

My grandaughter is now attending college. Prices are so high on books that we
checked out Amazon and discovered we could pay $47.00 for a book instead of over
$100. We will be looking for more books on Amazon to further her college education.
Thanks alot for a place to go to save!

Prealgebra, by definition is the transition from arithmetic to algebra. Miller/O'Neill/Hyde Prealgebra will introduce algebraic concepts early and repeat them as student would work through a Basic College Mathematics (or arithmetic) table of contents. Prealegbra is the ground work that's needed for developmental students to take the next step into a traditional algebra course. According to our market Julie and Molly's greatest strength is the ability to conceptualize algebraic concepts. The goal of this textbook will be to help student conceptualize the mathematics and it's relevancy in everything from their daily errands to the workplace. Prealgebra can be considered a derivative of Basic College Mathematics. One new chapter introducing the variable and equations is needed. Each subsequent chapter is basic mathematics/arithmetic content with additional sections containing algebra incorporated throughout.
