First Exposure to General Surgery Review

Great review of basic surgical procedures, indications, complications, etc. Unfortunately the surgery clerkship shelf by NBME covers more medical management of surgical patients, so this book has one chapter that is useful for that. But if you are looking to be an all-star in the OR, read this book before your procedures and you'll know more than most other students. Grab yourself a different book for the shelf exam studying, though.
