I found this textbook while perusing online and ordered it on a whim. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to understand and how well it is presented. Now that I'm teaching psych myself, this is a textbook I will definitely assign.

General, Organic and Biochemistry Review

General, Organic and Biochemistry
Average Reviews:

Was forced to purchase this 5lb book, but what is bad, is the publisher "offers" the homework site (forces students to buy the brand new book, or extra $$$ for the access codes), and this is the second class, different disciplines, I was forced to try and do work on their slow, glitch filled "homework" that takes forever, one question at a time, everybody hates it, teachers push and push it, there has got to be some graft, kickbacks, fees paid to the school something, teachers not wanting to even acknowledge that it's bad, marks right answers wrong, etc etc etc. For the extra $20 a student, it's the students that are some test case, or helping them work out the bugs, meanwhile you get bad grades because the homework counts twice as much as the tests (whoever heard of that?)

Psychology: An Introduction Review

Psychology: An Introduction

We used this text for my Introduction to Psychology class. The book is very well organized and allows anyone to easily possess a grasp of the fundementals of psychology.
This was the only one my textbooks for my first semester that I actually didn't mind reading. Lahey's prose is very readable and he includes several antecdotes to add flavor to the material.
I would recomend this one to anyone who has an academic or personal interest in psychology. If you are a student, the book is an additional plus because it is available in paperback, which greatly cuts down on cost.

This book offers a lively introduction to psychology with practical examples. It is very informative and good value for money. Different areas of basic psychology are covered. There are also many interesting topics such as: 1) the study of the mind (emotion, motivation, learning, language, memory, thinking); and 2) the study of sensation and perception (how information about the world is delivered to the nervous system and interpreted to form a coherent picture).

Marketing Myths That Are Killing Business: The Cure for Death Wish Marketing Review

Marketing Myths That Are Killing Business: The Cure for Death Wish Marketing
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Not only is it easy to read, but it's shocking in its ability to zero in on what's wrong with the marketing business. A must read! For those who want more detail, try reading their first collaborative effort, The Marketing Revolution. Bottom line--if you buy no other marketing book, buy one of these two books. They are Marketing Bibles with enormous power. Why? Because they lay out in excrutiating detail how marketeers have been relying on well-worn mths to conduct business--myths that have no basis in fact. Thus, is it any wonder that so many marketing efforts either don't work or when they do work can't be explained. I should know. Prior to reading these books, I fell for the same myths. Not any more, thanks to authors Clancy and Shulman.Gene Pinder Director of Marketing U.S. SPACE CAMP
